How to Play Amgine Park IV. FAQ V. Credits & Legal Stuff ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ i. Forward ----------- Hey everyone! For those of you who may be having a hard time getting all the endings, this FAQ is just the thing to read through. Of course, I will NOT tell you everything such as the locations of the Easter Eggs. Those, I will only give hints. Hope you find those endings! Rio I. About Amgine Park -------------------- Synopsis: Out for your morning walk at the local park, you meet someone unexpectedly... ~Requirements & Additional Info~ Released: February 28, 2005 Credits: Rio, Made with Ren'Py Rating: Teen Playtime: 40 minutes Platform: Windows, Linux Hardware Requirements: 15 MB free disk space II. How to Run Amgine Park -------------------------- The directions to run this game vary depending on if you are using Windows or one of the other supported platforms. ~Windows~ Amgine Park should work with Windows 98 or higher. To run it, simply run the amgine.exe excutable in the directory containing the unzipped archive. After a few seconds, the game will start running. ~Other Platforms~ Running this game on other platforms is more involved. You'll need to ensure that python 2.3 or greater is installed, and that the pygame libraries have been downloaded. You'll also need to have a version of SDL_mixer that supports ogg vorbis. Assuming that you've managed to satisfy the prerequisites, however, actually running the game is simple. You just need to run amgine.py. We personally do that on Linux with a command like: python amgine.py After a few seconds, the game should start running. III. How to Play Amgine Park ---------------------------- By default, the game starts running in full screen mode. On some computers, especially some virtual machines, this can lead to mouse problems. To fix this, press 'f' while the splashscreen is displaying. Some of the more interesting actions can be performed as follows: - The left mouse button is used to advance to the next line of dialogue, or to pick menu options. - The right mouse button brings you into a menu screen where you can save the game, load the game, change preferences, return to the main menu, or quit entirely. - Scrolling the mouse wheel up or pushing page up returns you to the previous screen of dialogue or menus. - Holding down the CTRL key skips dialogue. By default, it only skips read dialogue, but this can be changed by a preference. Tab toggles skip mode. If you have any problems, you may contact Rio at renaigames.com IV. FAQ -------- Q: Do I have to worry about points or how I answer? A: Yes and no. You can choose freely what you want to say. You will not be graded in points to get the endings. BUT, depending on what you say, you may or may not get a chance to pick up items you need to view the rest of the endings. Q: How many endings are there? A: There are 5 endings in all. They are are as follows: Ending 1 - "Nothing Ventured, Nothing Gained" Enging 2 - "Only Acquiantances" Ending 3 - "Best Friends Forever" Ending 4 - "It's Official!" Ending 5 - "Fate" Q: How do I get (insert ending here)???? A: Most of the endings depends on what you "find" and then taking what you found and giving it away... To get the items, you have to choose certain choices. Be careful though! You may choose the right dialogue choice but you still have a choice of picking up the item or not. So make sure you pick the item up! Btw, there are a few items you will get automatically if you choose a certain choice. Q: Can you tell me where to find the Easter Eggs? A: No, I won't tell you exactly where they are but I'll give you hints for what to look for: "Three of them are visual. The third one is a bit harder to find unless you can guess why I put them there in the first place aside from the obvious... (okay, I'm saying enough on that score...) There's a fourth, in the dialogue, that's a heads up to a certain someone and something... Those are the official easter eggs, but there are some other things in plain sight that you can find if you look for them..." Q: Can you be more specific about the endings? PLEASSSSSE???? A: All right - the item you give is in relation to the endings. The better the item, the better the ending. Well, depending on your point of view, of course... Most guys liked Gen being single and just friends with Brent for some reason... ^_^; Anyways, make use of the "Save" feature and you'll get them all in no time! Q: Can't you just tell me which choices to choose? I'm too lazy to search. A: The first item, you run across automatically at the entrance. The second and third item, think about it. The fourth item, let something else decide. The fifth item - did I just say fifth item? You'll have to find that out yourself... ;D Q: You're not making this easy on me, you know that? A: Yup, I know. ^_____^ V. Credits & Legal Stuff ------------------------- Amgine Park was made by Rio using the Ren'Py engine.
